History of Hawthorn FC
Hawthorn FC was established in 1902. They have succeeded by winning the Premiership 9 times (1961, 1971, 1976, 1978, 1983, 1988, 1989, 1991 & 2008). The number of Brownlow Medals currently stands at 4 (Col Austen 1949, Robert Dipierdomenico 1986, John Platten 1987 & Shane Crawford 1999).
