History of Essendon FC

Essendon FC was established in 1873.  They have succeeded by winning the Premiership a total of 20 times (1891-92-93-94, 1897, 1901, 1911-12, 1923-24, 1942, 1946, 1949-50, 1962, 1965, 1984-85, 1993, 2000).  The number of Brownlow Medals currently stands at 8 (Dick Reynolds winning 3 in 1934, 1937 & 1938, Bill Hutchison twice in 1952 & 1953, Graham Moss in 1976, Gavin Wanganeen in 1993 & James Hird in 1996).
