australian football explained

Can someone explain the rules and history of Australian Football?
Please don’t be an ass and post a link to a Wikipedia article, explain in your own words (don’t Ctrl V)
The aim is to get the ball through the goals. (The big sticks)
Players can kick and handball, there are no restrictions on where the have to kick/handball (don’t have to go backwards etc.)
A goal is 6 points and a behind is 1 point. If it hits the big post then it’s a point, and if it hits the behind post (small post) it is out on the full.
If the team kick a behind the opposing team has a kick out, taken from the goal square.
When the ball is judged out on the full, it has been kicked over the boundary line without anyone touching it or bouncing – it is then a free kick to the opposite team.
A mark is when the ball is kicked at least 15 metres without anyone touching it or bouncing.
Players may tackle the opponents only when they have the ball, and the tackle must be between the knees and the neck.
Players are allowed to bump the opposition with a hip and shoulder, as long as they don’t make contact without the head, it’s then a free kick.
Players may run 15 metres with the ball before they have to bounce it, there are no restrictions on how many bounces you may have.
The main Australian Rules Football league is the AFL (the national competition) there are other leagues such as WAFL, VFL, SANFL etc.
The AFL was formed in 1990, it was basically a name change of the then-VFL to include teams from states from outside Victoria.
